Pursuant to Chapter 925 Village Park of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Bratenahl
April 1st to October 31st:8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., daily.
November 1st to March 31st: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
The Dog Park is closed to all persons from April 1st to October 31st between the hours of 8:31 p.m. and 7:59 a.m. and November 1st to March 31st between the hours of 6:01 p.m. and 7:59 a.m. No one is to enter and remain in the Park when the Park is closed unless specifically authorized by the Recreation Director or the Mayor.
Rules for Using the Dog Park:
All dogs must be leashed when not within the fence of the Dog Park. A leash must be accessible for each dog at all times.
Each dog must have a current dog license and rabies tag displayed on its collar.
Dog waste must be properly disposed of immediately.
Handlers must fill in holes dug by their dogs.
No more than two (2) dogs per handler.
Sick, injured, or a Dangerous Dog (as defined by Ohio Revised Code 955.11) are not permitted in the Dog Park.
A dog that becomes aggressive must be removed from the Dog Park immediately.
All dog bites must be reported to the Bratenahl Police immediately (216-681-1234); call 911 for severe bites.
Any dog under the age of four (4) months is not permitted in the Dog Park.
Children ages six (6) or under are prohibited and children ages seven (7) to sixteen (16) must be under adult supervision at all times.
To prevent aggressive canine behavior, human and dog food (including training treats) of any kind are prohibited.
All dogs must be attended to and in sight by their handler(s).
Dog Owners are solely responsible for all damage or injury inflicted by their dog(s).
Any person entering the Dog Park assumes the risk of any harm, injury to person or property, or negligence of any other person, handler, or dog owner in or at the Dog Park.
Failure to comply with these Rules and Regulations or any applicable Village ordinance may be subject to citation, fines, and prosecution as set forth in Section 925.99.
Whoever violates Sections 925.01 through 925.09 shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor with fines up to one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
