Police Department Mission Statement

The Bratenahl Police Department, in partnership with our community, provides impartial, ethical, and professional law enforcement service and protection. We strive to maintain the trust and confidence of our citizens while working to improve the quality of life.

Our mission is to maintain peace and order by providing high quality police services that are responsive to the needs of the community. We protect life and property by apprehending those who commit criminal acts, by developing partnerships to prevent, reduce, or eliminate neighborhood problems, and by providing policing services that are fair, professional, and respectful of the dignity of all individuals.

The Department is proud of the one minute response time provided by the dedication of nine full time officers, three full time dispatchers, ten part time officers and five part time dispatchers.  Three police cruisers travel the streets of Bratenahl at all times providing an environment of stability and security within the Village.  Our Department is dedicated to the service of the Village and we make every attempt to make our villagers feel safe.
