Service Department Mission Statement

The Bratenahl Service Department provides a wide variety of services including the repair and maintenance of roadways, sidewalks, sewers, water mains, parks, and public properties. Within the Village service crews perform a variety of tasks including snow removal on all streets and sidewalks, traffic sign and pavement marking, pothole repair, street tree maintenance, and tree lawn maintenance including sidewalk edging.

Just some of the unique services provided are spring planting and maintenance of flower gardens at each intersection and the “Mutt Mitt Boxes” program providing plastic bag containers for dog walkers to dispose of animal waste.

The mission of the six committed Service Department employees is to strive to keep all Bratenahl public assets in above average condition. This commitment will provide a professional quality of service that will add value to the quality of life for Bratenahl Village residents.
